Tradition and beauty
The classic wet flies are a superb matter for me, a kind of superior range we could say. Tying them is a pleasure only comparable to fish with them.
I learned about this topic from a great book that I was lucky to get many years ago, “Flies for fish and Fishermen” by Helen Shaw, an extraordinary way to know about the nature of these flies.
Also words of thanks go to a very skillful fly tyer, Julio Gilardi, who honored me with his teachings.
Here are two favorites from my vise, “Professor” and “Greenwells Glory”.
