I consider simplicity and subtlety in fly tying a virtue. The minimal mark that this fly draws on the surface of the water makes it very effective in special situations where trout are particularly selective. Catching them using this type of fly is a pleasure, a real prize.
Recipe:
Hook: Mustad 94840 or another good quality dry fly hook of your preference in size 18
Thread: Uni 8/0 White
Body and Tail: Cul de Canard feather, stripped and only leaving a couple of fibers to each side
Hackle: Silver Badger (Just one)
