Focusing Marinaro
Waiting for the season opening I am rereading a classic: “In The Ring Of The Rise” by Vincent Marinaro.
Once again I enjoy his studies and approaches to various aspects of dry fly fishing and fly fishing in general, including a sharp and documented description of how brown trout seeks its food.
The illustrations in the book, photos and drawings, are typical of an era that I consider “golden” in terms of publications about fly fishing.
Marinaro was very generous in sharing his knowledge through this book.
If you haven’t done it yet, I recommend you read it carefully.
